Anyone got some other songs to suggest? I know a lot of easy songs, but not so many that would necessarily be familiar to everyone (Beck, Ween, Wilco, etc.).

I would appreciate it if any Jammer(s) who plays guitar and has some songbooks or sheet music could contact me via PM. I'd like to get some stuff copied for the attendees. Any other suggestions for how to do this?

I'm not a musician so bear with me, but what about stuff like Ghost Riders in the Sky or Creedences' Keep on Chooglin".

How about asking the few who should be committed what they know and start from there?

I can bring a cocktail drum kit or a world beat set-up, whatever jives with the mix. More of a percussionist than a rock drummer; it'll be nice to jam with new folks.

I may have suggested this one earlier, but CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" is super-easy: D A G.

Oooh, Tom! That's a fun idea! Do you have a kariaoke machine? Or know anyone who has one? That would be a help, for sure!

Some songs that I know:
"Creep" by Radiohead
"Today" by Smashing Pumpkins
"House of the Rising Sun" (can't remember who does this)
"Back in Black" AC/DC
"Chocolate" by Snow Patrol
"Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks

I've mainly played in country cover bands and original rock bands. Maybe we should try to work up a loose set list?

I may leave the conga behind, but here's what I plan to bring.

I'm big on Neil Finn (who?), Crowded House and the Beatles,
but will ready to play anything the orchestra comes up with.

Um, how many are true sing-alongs? Let's have a couple that EVERYONE, meaning all age groups, will also know....

Don't scare me like that, Chris!

And for Lotsie, we'll have to pull together a rendition of Puff the Magic Dragon. After all, it's only fitting, eh!? (Dig my cool Canadian accent!)

I think we will have to sing some Neil Young tunes, too....like "Cinnamon Girl!" Woo hooooo!

Oh My Gawd. This is sinful. Do you realize that Puff is the anthem of the Evil Weed MariJuana Growers on the north shore of Kauai, in the shade of Mt. Waialeale (purported to be the wettest spot on earth with 600+ inches) .

Where do you think Hanalei is, anyway. Shame Shame Shame

But... Puff is just the name of the boy's magic dragon.

(Are you a pothead, Focker?)
