Helenblitz is on for Feb. 25th - 27th
 

We will once again be hosting the Helenblitz Charity event in Helen Georgia the weekend of February 25th-27th 2011.

I will be posting information here as it is confirmed. We have again secured rooms at The Helendorf River Inn. They have set aside 20 rooms, Standard is $54.00 and Riverfront is $74.00. They will need all reservations in by January 28th.

We will once again be getting wine from Habersham. This year we are planning a couple different varieties.

Last year we raised about $1500 for the Speedway Childrens Charity. I would like to thank everyone that attended and supported the event. I hope we can make this years event even better.

We are looking for volunteers to create and lead drives on the Saturday of the Helenblitz 2011 event. Please contact me at ssigmon11@gmail.com. Include the written directions for the drive planned and your contact information. Let's make this one even better than last year! :nod:

Helenblitz 2011 Vendors Notified
 

Greetings all,

A letter was sent out today via e-mail to 41 MINI vendors asking for donations and if they (the vendors) would be interested in setting up a vendor's booth at Helenblitz this year. There are also a few vendors that have their e-mail as part of their website, so I had to send them theirs (i.e. Moss MINI) through their site.

If you are interested in a copy of this vendor letter to send/give to your LOCAL automotive vendors, or those you believe would be interested in contributing donations to the Helenblitz 2011 auction, I have attached it to this post. Again, only give this to your local auto vendors and not the ones like Moss MINI, OutMotoring, RedLine Goods, etc., I have already contacted them.

Seabiscuit is working the MINI RC Car event, although your RC car need not be a MINI, anyone interested in participating please stay tuned to this forum for updates!

Hey Everyone!! IT's that time again... for HelenBlitz 2011!!!!!

There are numerous hotels in the area as well. The "Dorf is centrally located to many of our dinner activities, and also makes parking so much easier.

We again this year will have wine through the Habersham Winery. Lawmann is working on the logo for it, and as in the past it will be fantastic.
We are going to have Muscadine and Merlot this year. Prices will be available in the next few weeks, in which time we will begin to take orders. Orders will need to be placed no later then 4 Feb 2011. Please contact either myself, juniperbreze@msn.com or chainsawpop@aol.com (Blucooper). These make excellent gifts.

There also will be an RC mini event, so bring your mini mini's and come out and play.

Over the next few weeks, runs, events and other good stuff will be posted. !!!!!

if i didnt live in jersey so far away id for sure come down, sounds like a blast!

i went early this year with the VW guys to Sowo in Helen GA and i had a ball now i have a Mini Cooper and i cant wait to go count me in im going.....:thumbsup:

We have made this our event, once again, for February. Some will be staying over in Helen, but we are also organizing a drive up there on Saturday, as we did last year.

Yes the sweatshirts and HB items will be up for a bit after the actual event. I cannot take credit for the design.. that belongs to Craig at Cooperation.. with the most awesome help of Minibee.. aka Jack Rowland.. without them we wouldnt have shirts:D

As promised the prices for the Blitz Wine this year are

12- per bottle for Muscadine
15 per bottle for the Merlot

Each bottle will have the Blitz logo and the date on them.. with some cutesy mini stuff.. Thanks to LawMann of Middle GA Minis!!! As always I so appreciate his help!!!
If you wish to order.. pls post here and I will take a running tally for the next two or so weeks. I can also order a few extra bottles for stragglers..
