Ooops, just saw this.. Sure you should definitely go! Wonderful scenery! I'm in the midst of reserving my condo. The drive is a pretty long 18 hour drive but plenty of places to stop along the way. I installed an LCD headrest monitor for my son, and we'll have a stack of DVD's for him to watch--so he should be ok, lol.

Copper Mountain Reservations

Saw that Octane Guy was making his reservations now. Do we have a deal code available for a special rate like at the first MITM? Or can we just contact them and they will have the information already? (Just realized as I looked back on my bemoaning of a wedding interrupting my registration wait when it was another wedding that kept us from coming to MITM2! Too many weddings!)

I was supposed to do it a month ago, but procrastinated. Already lost out on the potential condos I thought I was going to reserve--so figured I better not delay. We aren't that far away anymore!

Staying at the Edge (I think that's what they were called) wasn't bad last year, but it's not for me this time around, lol)

I want to come and play. I'll be in CO at that time, but, my MINI won't! Maybe I can still come and meet you guys. I'm a CO girl displaced in WI. Copper would be wonderful between my art shows in Santa Fe. I'll be visiting family in Denver about that time. I'll keep an eye on the event. I'm not sure what it would be like without having CHEQQRS to drive. I guess I'll have to see.

Keep watching and YES, I will find a way to post a pic of your shirts. You will like the colors....

And of course the license plates. Yes, new colors too.....

Hate to throw you for a loop but

How does MITM8 sound: "Coopers Advance on Vail" ????

Or MITM9: "Coopers Stampede to Steamboat"

Or MITM10: "Coopers Belong at the Broadmoor"

Oh the possibilities....

You want shirts?

I have shirts:

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I have no idea how to make it big. So click on it. It is a mustard colored shirt (sort of Dijon, that is what I like) and Electric Blue. I think.

Now about the matching hats.....

Hi,
I like the shirts muchly! Maybe these questions will be answered on the event website, but I'l ask here;
Mirrim and I are noobs, so was wondering about volunteering. We both want to, in any way we can help this event. We are mobility impaired somewhat, so, while we cannot pitch tents, we do want to contribute. What other needs will the event have that we can meet? Are there things we can do on Aug 6th at the Tent City Setup Party? What can we do to help out on other days of the event? (helping with sign-in? handing out brochures, etc?) Any and all ideas are welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Danielle

Thank you for the offer!

Danielle, here is what you and anyone else who wishes to help out or volunteer need to do:

PM me wiht your full name, cell or contact #, and email, plus of course your NAM name. Let us know what day or days you wish to volunteer, and how many hours. (Normally we ask for 2 or 4 hr blocks, AM or PM). Just send me that. Give some indication if you have preference with any of the following:
  1. Setup party (tent city) Wednesday at 5 pm. Should take about an hour.
  2. Check-in and Host Tent - All day Thursday, Friday and Saturday, normally 8 to 5. Pick a time slot you like.
  3. Friday dinner at Winter Park.
  4. Saturday dinner at Copper.
  5. Parking and Group Photo logistics on Saturday night.
  6. Car Wash monitoring. Basically, this just means making sure that Heather from DetailersParadise and Richard Lin from ShowCarDetailing have what they need.
  7. Leading a ride. Pick your date, time and destination.
  8. Miscellaneous.
Whatever you like is good with us. There are usu enough vols that nobody has to do too much. We have coordinators for all of this so you generally work as a small group.

Thanks so much for your support of the club, the event, and the MINI and Mini communities.

Phil, I need to make sure I understand your question

When you say 'Party' and 'Non'Party' do you mean 'on the Copper Mountain Resort Premises' and 'Off the Copper Mountain Resort Premises?'

Just need clarification and I can certainly help you.

Thanks for the reply. I am referring to accommodations on the CMR premises. Some of us like a quiet and earlyish night and some don't.

BTW: I have just registered for MITM3!

Where are good places to stay? I've never been to Copper Mountain Resort before.
