Wash, wax and detail. Boy do I love using Wax Depot VIP products. Very easy to use and great results. Also Eagle One makes these tire swipe sponges to use when applying armourall type products. They also work great for applying protectant to dash and panels due to the curve of the sponge part.

Looks awesome! Where are you ordering the error free LED's at?

Hey 1bigpea,
Ordered them from iJDMtoy.com. Since there is not a lot of light required I went with the bulbs with 2 led's on them.
My DRL replacements came from hoen-usa.com and I went with a 6 led configuration on those.

Good luck and still would love to have your aftermarket stereo system.

So the torque arm makes a big difference?

Yeah. Nice improvement in throttle response and the car just feels tighter. Little more vibration at idle but nothing noticeable while driving.

I just installed PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow Fogs and now my check engine light is on. I didn't think just replacing a fog lamp bulb would give me a check engine warning.

Anyone know if that's normal? I'm about to go out and replace with stock to see if it shuts it off. Ugh...it looks great too! Pics soon...once I figure this out.

Still in progress, but giving him his first waxing.

Washed, clay barred, washed again, and right now the second coat of Zaino is drying.

One more after this, and he'll be good till next year!

Intalled PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow Fogs

So after unplugging the batt a couple times I gave up and drove it with the check engine light on. After about 5 start ups the light went off. All is back to normal.

Installed these Plasma Ion Yellow fogs, they look awesome! Especially at night with the contrast of the xenon's.

Finally got exhaust

Had a custom exhaust built finally. Wow...what a difference in turbo response over the stock exhaust.

Check out the pics here...

Thanks... I really don't have a "how to" because it could've went to a "how to screw it up thread". I tapped into front fog light wiring, no errors no ncs-programming, straight away wiring. I'll try my best at the order of things.

Ordered part # 63247255925 (fog light assembly for 2012 R58/Coupe) with NAM discount it was $38. Bought 25ft roll of 16 ga. wire, (8) #51-11-8-222-901 plastic blind rivets (lower valance) & (6) 07-14-9-807-127 plastic blind rivots (fender trim).

I pulled lower valance, cut hole in center. The gap in valance is almost an exact fit for the light assembly (which has 4 hook/tabs on it that latch over upper bumper and lower valance) I made my own connector to the assembly, it's pretty simple 2 hot & 2 grounds. For the fog light I ran wire all the way down drivers side (routing through brake line clamps then along front frame rail) I cut the YELLOW wire on fog light and spliced there. All my connections are soldered & shrink tubed. It's wired to go on with front fogs but could easily be switched to run separate.

Overall it took about 3 hours, but if I had to do it again - cut that in half. If you have any questions PM me. Motor On!

Installed UltraGauge

Today after work I installed the UltraGauge, which so far I like. I have the ScanGauge II in my FJ but I think the UltraGauge fits the Mini better. Either way there's not really a lot of places to install it that are convenient.

I went with the "no mount" option because the windshield isnt really where I like mounting stuff. Not sure I like the current location, I like more of a heads up option but flat surfaces are hard to come by. I used some super sticky tape with some super sticky velcro and mounted it left of the tach. I can reach the buttons without pulling off the UG since 4 levels of solid tape keep it off the dash .25". It's also rather flexible having velcro, the UG can be moved right or left depending on preferred view and can be pulled off the dash.

Any ideas on mounting locations and methods?

I'm still trying to figure out what gauges to have and what they all mean! There's a lot of choices!

Thanks!
  • ALL4 (as if anyone 'round here would get a FWD CM) w/ 3 pedals
  • Red w/black roof & black 17" wheels
  • Tech pkg w/Nav
  • Premium pkg
  • Cold weather pkg
  • Sunroof
  • Flat load floor
  • Cloth seats (something to keep from toasting my backside in the summer)
The one thing I passed on was the built-in garage door opener. Not only was that pretty pricey, the other options that it required made the added cost ridiculous IMO. For that kind of $$$, I'll be perfectly content to clip a transmitter to my visor.
