Tread Life Stock Tires Pirelli P7

Hello,

My F60 (Oxford 2021) came with the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All-Season tires P225/50R18. I took the car to the dealership for scheduled service today with 34,000 miles (still part of the 3-year free maintenance) and they strongly recommended to replace the 4 tires since they currently have a thread depth of 3.5mm (all of them). I didn't do it since thought this to be too soon to replace.

Is this tread life consistent with what others in the forum have observed with your cars?

Also, should this be a warranty issue with Pirelli since the warranty of the tire is for 70,000 miles?

Appreciate your advice.

I think it's great that Pirelli has a tread life warranty on those tires and absolutely, you should reach out to them for some compensation on a new set. Tire warranties are typically pro-rated so it won't be for the full value if they do grant you compensation. That said, that's not terrible tread life for a performance and speed-rated run-flat. The fact that they are worn evenly is a good indicator that you have rotated them regularly, which is one of the first things Pirelli will ask.

You could try talking to Pirelli, but usually OEM tires are built differently from the ones you would buy at a tire shop, even though they have the same brand name. Getting 36k miles out of a set of OEM tires is about average these days,
