What's the name of this exterior part?
 

Mine is in chrome and I like the black, but I don't know what to look up?

Thats part of the side skirt aka rocker panel. They are usually full black and MINI changed the design and they come with a color tone trim that's part of it. Those look like the black ones.

as for the pic, it’s actually not my car. I just like the look of the black panel. If it was easy/inexpensive to change i might do it.

@ECS Tuning So definitely...thank you for the site and direction.

But the cheapest I can find that side skirt is about 206$ per side. That's without installation (guessing it's not just a quick unscrew old and screw in new)...so unfortunately, not a inexpensive change like I was hoping.

But as I said...thank you, and you'll be hearing from me in the future as i find more parts I'm curious about :)
