Dog in the back of the F60?

Never thought I'd start a thread like this, but here goes. We are soon to have a dog. Wife has a CRV, but her car might not always be available to haul the dog around. In the times I can't schedule things using her car, what's the best way to protect the interior and haul around the dog in the F60? I'm not sure using the rear seating space is ideal as I may have to haul kids around too. Are there options for hauling dogs in the back storage/trunk/hatch area? Looking for ideas to best accomplish this. I do have some time as the dog is a puppy right now, but will definitely grow into a larger sized dog. Last resort is to sell/trade the mini for a more dog-friendly vehicle (which I don't want to do if I don't have to).

Jethro loved the first three of my four Minis. Regrettably, after 17 years, he passed and missed the fourth one.

Ask the dog...

Cheers,

Charlie

I'm really pleased with the liner from Canvasback.com even the dog doesn't really like riding in the CM. He much prefers the smelly old Subaru WRX. I'm kinda okay with that.

I just put down an old comforter. Plus you can drape it over the back when getting your dog into the car.

My girl loves riding with seats down. Plenty of room.

I would put my Bella on the rear seat of all my 4 Mini's. Of all of them she truly enjoyed more the Countryman rear seat for the space. I had a seat cover I had gotten at Costco to protect it, but Mini used to have there own a couple of years ago.
