Remove and Replace Driver's Mirror Cap

Sorry if this needs to be moved; I was not able to identify a good section to post this (I'm still kinda noob-y).

I need to replace the puddle lamp on our 2018 F60. It would involve removing the mirror cap. I have seen "how-to's" to remove the cap for other MINIs, but not the latest Countryman.

Can anybody provide guidance here?

Best method:

Don't use a screwdriver like some of the videos show.

I was able to do this with a similar tool I had in the garage...

Replacing the puddle lamp is easy...
