European Parts Ordering

I need heated Aspherical (anti blind spot) mirror glass with the auto dim feature (both sides). Anyone know where I can source these? Only thing I found on on e-bay do not have auto dim.

Would be fairly simple to source if you know the part number.

I did a quick search and I was quite surprised to see how expensive the electrochromatic mirrors are!

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...51169803799kt/

YOWZA!

Also did a quick search using the term:
spiegelglas elektrochrom f60 mini

And found a used pair of complete assemblies on the German ebay,
here:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/303009835165
&
https://www.ebay.de/itm/292892014037

Never did find the part number --- that is the key!

Yes they do cost a lot but less than my $1K deductible. ECS does not list the F60 so I am not sure the ones they have will work.

IIRC, option 430 is the autodim/anti-dazzle option code. Here are your euro mirror options with that option code:

Mirror glass, heated, wide-angle, left 51 16 7 366 045
Mirror glass, heated, wide-angle, right 51 16 7 366 046
Mirror glass, heated, convex, right 51 16 7 366 040

Yep we have them, just did not add the F60 section yet, will soon.

Realoem is a good place to find euro F60 and USA F60 fitment then just dump the part numbers to our site.

Great!
Thanks for the order. I have them on my R52 and really helps. I dont have the electrochromatic from the factoy, gen 1 MINI only had it in the center mirror. But really helps with those blind spots.

I have had them on every German car I have owned except for the last one before the mini which came with bind spot sensors. Shame no sensors on my mini but these will do just fine. What I cannot understand is why no front PDC when there is rear included, not even cutouts on the front bumper... strange marketing decision. Merc did the same, a 55K car and unless you got the 360 camera option, no PDC in the front. At least they had the cutouts...

Thanks to all for your help. Glad to be back in the Mini camp. Totally forgot REALOEM... great tip.

Front PDC is the only other option keeping the Parking Assistant (5DP) option from working, seems like they want to keep them bundled and not available as a standalone option. The X1 had front and rear PDC as a $800 standalone option (508) and it added 5DP when ordered. Really though, BMW should have had top down view ready to go for the UKL platform, to not have that option is unbelievable at the price point these can be spec'd to.

Will the auto-dim work on the passenger's side mirror "out of the box," or must there be wiring/coding changes? I've often wondered why MINI only installs the auto-dim exterior mirrors on the driver's side. Sure, there tends to be more glare on the driver's side, but you still get it on the passenger's side.

Must be already wired for autodim ( factory autodim must be there) or you would custom wire it to the interior autodim somehow.

No autodim connector on the passenger side, still I get the benefit of the blind spot detection. May see how difficult it is to connect to the autodim circuit in the car.
