Seems to me you have 3 months to build a 2.0 liter and get your MEMS going if you think you need it, or back out now and save everyone the time.

Tuner VS.Tuner, Turbo VS SC, the only stipulation, as clarified earlier, is a registered street car with factory trim.

You in or out?

Last chance..........
Why are you both so quick to "Whip it out"
Guidelines need to be establish, so establish them...

Stop asking whether hes "IN OR OUT"

Unfortunately this community has been slaughtered and bashed in by few, and hopefully there is some changes made so that other people can get their names out there to Mini owners like me and you, without having to deal with constant ridicule... who wants any part of that?

my real guess here is this.... the MEMS doesn't work?
and my real guess is this: You know that you can't tune the stock ECU on that SC and you have to run to your Standalone for help... ROFLMAO...

I bet you can't even scale the injectors; so to compensate, you adjust the fuel trim on the fuel map to mask this defect.

Mynes can scale injectors up to 750cc on the stock ECU and have it drive completely normal... Mynes can do it, why can't u? O, i forgot, that map is not in your Dimsport so you can't just change the values on the table.

I think its gone from a basic tuner challenge to a turbo vs supercharger challenge. The title says turbo vs SC but the rules seem to say bring your car whatever the class

Anyway, for me to see a challenge with a stock SC car and a stock turbo car sounds pretty boring. But, to each there own.

Ya know anyone can build a hand grenade, what if it was averaged over say 5 or 10 consecutive laps?

Every so often some one tries to turbo a top fueler and all they wind up doing is oil the track down and divide their parts....

PS: My money is still on RMW.

What does it matter with everything else "not stock" on both cars

I said i would "accommodate" meaning if you want a street car, i will bring a street car; and if you bring a "unlimited class" car and i will accommodate and do the same.

You wanted this to be as much "STOCK" as possible, so unless your Standalone has a BMW "sticker from the dealer" (quoting your own words), then it violates the rules that you, yourself has set forth... hmm... who's back-peddling now

Tell me thats not true... the "RMW tune" is just a handful of Dimsport maps?

I refrained from reacting to the Bashing on my Devil's Own thread...
Inwhich you may not realize but Chance from Devil's Own was kind enough to shed some light on my questions and all his posts have been deleted...
Interesting on how others get swept away, and I dont doubt the guy after getting his 11 or so posts deleted to not want to become a vendor on this site...

I say race classic Minis with your new engines.......pending a few shoehorn issues. Nothing says competition like itty bitty wheel action.

Aren't they? I was too late in seeing this, check out some of the other threads where they do the same thing, over and over...until someone new begs for mercy...

Wow, in the old days the "other" tuner used to put up much more of a fight than this. 2 hours and it's done.

Keep eating that popcorn.

Mike....

Maybe you should have titled your challenge "stock cars turbo vs supercharged"

Or something of that nature... You didn't, you kinda left it wide open.

To start calling names is pathetic really. Jan is a personal friend of mine. A person that has gained my trust over a couple years dealing with him. You want to call me a crony for that, fine. One thing it does do is make you look immature and pathetic...

Your guy left the rules open, Jan laid them down, now your guy cries foul. Sounds like the show is off. That is unless some miracle comes of the MEMS in the next 3 months.......

Just to be clear...

I'm certainly not opposed to any vendor bringing anything to this community. I love competition and I love doing my own research and homework. Its what's made owning my car the fun time its been.

I just don't want Mike or anyone to think I'm against Mynes or any vendor for that matter. I think the challenge could have been better defined on his part. Especially when bringing it against someone as well liked and know as RMW in this community

Competition is good for everyone but if ya been around here for awhile you get pretty skeptical as there has been several "Tuners" come here and lay down some really big claims only to not be able or could not back the smack. If you guy's can do what you say, great, you'll find a lot of friends here as Jan has. But don't blame this board if we don't just jump on a band wagon without seeing real results as we have from Jan.

So please do bring it on, I'd love to see this!
