I love my factory kit. But gotta say, that BRG looks freakin sweet with it!

 

I have some pics of my painted arches and stripes painted on my factory aerokit car...not the greatest pics taken at night in the garage on a car that is dirty except for the parts I painted lol.

 

Threads like this, made me take the plunge and add it to my order. It was the painted fenders (on the late 08's which will be on the 09's) that did it.

 

What did you order...inquiring minds want to know..

 

MCS, which will be the first batch of 09's. Ordered back in late July. LSD, Sport Suspension, and all that. It will be all astro black with black cloth seats, piano black interior accents, alcantera and all that jazz.

I was thinking about doing the aero kit later, but heck... since they are painting the fenders these days, I want it to look pretty clean. I've also never owned a black car before, but I do have a garage.

 

Nice specs! I've owned a few black cars and never thought they were that much of a pain to keep clean....I mean every car needs a wash sometime! Also, dusters help well to keep the dust off until the car gets too much grime on it, which could then lead to scratching with a duster. But the duster definitely can give you a good week extension on a wash if you keep it garaged at night and hopefully somewhat covered during the day.

here is the body kit on an MC. i like it... maybe i should have spent the extra money on an S... but I like being different and my car looks badass compared to the other MC running around here.

 

i'm thinking about getting the things around the wheels painted... but i'll wait until after i can save up enough money for wheels. any idea how much painting them would cost??

 

This looks great! With that blue, you can really see the lines of the aero kit. Is there a spoiler up top in the back? Or is that S only?

 

yeah there is def a spoiler, it comes standard with the kit. i'm not sure if it is as big as the S model's but def noticeable. i like it.

Is it true that with the factory aero kit the wheel arches are painted on the standard MC but not on the Clubman?

 

Yes, can someone confirm.
My brother's PW Clubman came in and we expected the arches to be painted on the factory aero kit, but they were not.

 

New orders for the coupe have painted arches with the Aero kit the Clubman does not.

 

Just double checking, but ONLY with the aero kit do you get painted arches, right?

 

Ender_Will - that is my understanding, which is also what made me do it. I even inquired with Rob, my sales guy down there in SA, but he was unsure about it. It appears to be the last shipment or two of the 08's with the aero kit include painted fenders and the 09's will.

I don't remember. it has been a year. And I got my windows tinted along with the side view mirror posts painted. oh, and the window columns as well. I do know that all of it costs 1200.
