Superfun,

You said that you can't open the pre-register link, what error are you getting? Are you at work? Maybe your IT department is blocking outside websites or something? The problem could also be a router down between you and the registration form. I just opened it with no problems. Please let me know if the problem persists. If you want, you can also download the registration form on the registration link, print it, fill it out and then hand it in at the gate to the event.

I'm planning on it.

I'll drive up from Southern NC Saturday morning, unless the rest of my life gets in the way.

Paleo pointed this out to me -- I'm trying to rearrange the rest of my life to make it on time! And dragging the hubby, poor guy.

I see that there's a car show - MINIs/Minis involved (duh), but are other cars welcome? I ask because my boss has a ~1977 MG Midgett she wants technical info on/possibly sell, and this would be a great opportunity to pick people's brains!

The car show is strictly for Minis but the event is open to anyone who wants to come. Most of us love British cars and I'm sure some Mini owners have or have had other British cars.

I've heard that one of the bands we hired for the event usually draw in HUGE crowds (2-4k people) so there will be (*prays*) a TON of people there. Have your boss toss a For Sale sign on the car and park it in a conspicuous place.

FYI - On one of the other GWR threads, Warped said the record we have to "break" is 310, done in Britain.

Just got back (had to leave early to take care of personal stuff). Did not get as many as last year but met some terrific people and the park was awesome! The road kill autocross took off quick with mini passengers flipping their road kill up onto their roofs and hanging out of their windows. What an awesome idea! We did poorly at it, but others were amazing. I hope they do it here again next year. The traffic back was absurd, with massive blockups and delays, especially the 1.5 hours delay at the Hampton Roads Tunnel. Will be taking the Monitor Merrimac next trip! They said they would plan much earlier for next year and it should be even more fun. Thanks to all of you we met that shared their ideas and stuff.

Wish we could have stayed for the raffle stuff. Please post the winners!

Thanks Kris and Ed Sorry about the tunnel. They are hit or miss with traffic. When I came through it at around 9:20pm, it was clear sailing. We can't post who won what in the raffles because I didn't keep a list of who the winners were. I will say that there were many happy people and that is what matters!

Seems like it would be easier to do it in combination with MOTD since there's usually more than 500 MINIs there.

Wow you are walking around in my brain combine the 2 next year we will slaughter the record. Jeff and I had a blast we stayed in the yurts that looked like teepees just behind the staging field. They were awesome very nice ac a very nice pillow top bed. For 45 bucks a night it was definetly worth it. We really had a great time. It was even better when I won the whalen shifter *** I already ordered it. I will be posting my pics soon I recieved so many compliments on my graphics especially the wolf eyes on the back windsheild. We are gonna Dr them up and put a red break light on each eyeball so when I break the eyes will light up. I think that will look sharp. Anyway it was nice meeting ya'll and can't wait till the next event.

Sky and Jeff

By the way, I think the actual number was...130 MINIs? I thought it was so cool - a fellow THMMC-er w/ a Clubby had #55 and I had #56!!! (As in R-55 & R-56!?) Perfect for my first rally!
