Mini r60 won't pass 4000 rpm on neutral
Hi my Mini Cooper S Countryman 2012 seems to have a problem.
When I press on the gas while on park, the rpm does not go pass 4000. I was wondering if this is a problem or not? If so, what can be done to get it fixed.

I'm new to Minis but while I was out on a test ride, I parked the Countryman and put it in park. I mashed the gas pedal down but the revs didn't climb as you mention. I feel this is probably a safety device built into the software. My wife's Toyota Avalon Hybrid also does the same thing while in park. So unless you can't surpass 4k RPM driving, I'd say there isn't a problem.
