MINI Community comes together to help someone in need

Story time!

I just finished up a 2014 MINI Countryman base for a single mom with two kids. Very tight budget, not a ton of time. It had a failed valve seat from a bad friction pulley that overheated the engine pretty badly.

We had a few great people from the MINI community come together and get this car back up and running for the lady.

Special thank you to Mini-To-Be, the most knowledgeable guy I've ever had the pleasure of working with getting the DME replaced in a very short amount of time
Special thank you to my friend for the replacement head for almost nothing, he spent a day at the junk yard to pull it
Special thank you to my local O'Reillys for donating a brand new premium battery
And to my other friend that donated his almost new ignition coils, spark plugs, and a new thermostat housing.
And to the gent on the other forum that sent a copy of ISTA+ to diagnose the myriad of electrical issues!

We got this car running and reliable on a super low budget! Have to absolutely love the community here.
