R60 Countryman Tach Gauge replacement.

Long story short. I used too long of screw and punched a hole through my Tach gauge face. Seems like I have two options. find a replacement gauge face (so far ive only found a aftermarket for $120) and disassemble my current gauge to replace the face or get a whole replacement gauge from ebay ($50-$100). So questions and advice please.
  • How easy is it to swap the gauge face. (probably would also have to do the center speedo with the matching after market) and does anyone have a guide/ video on the process.
  • Is dropping in a whole knew gauge just simply plug and play (no coding or warnings to clear after the swap)
really hoping for some good news as right now I just feel stupid and every time I get in my Countryman I just see the hole and it reminds me how stupid I was.
