R60 Countryman S - are the exhaust tips removeable?
Countryman S - are the exhaust tips removeable?
Think I may have screwed up here. Got a nice set of aftermarket tips that bolt on with a 2.5" inner diameter. Measured the factory pipes at 2". Turned down some spacer rings on the lathe, and went to remove the stock tips.
They don't budge...and I can't feel any kind of seam inside. I'm guessing they aren't decorative that slip over the pipe like on the r56, it seems like it's all one piece of pipe polished on the outside.
Am I missing something here or do the stock tips need to be sawed off?
thank you!

I have a '14. The chrome tips that were built into the bumper on mine wasn't connected to the actual tail tipe they bolted on with 2 or 3 bolts into the back of the rear bumper. I replaced all tubing and welded on 4" tips, they fit into the bumper holes with some space to spare.
