Driver's door won't open-OUTSIDE ONLY

  • Car sat in cold weather for a couple of days
  • lock/unlock works fine
  • inside door latch works fine, but feels a little different than passenger side-a little more rubbery toward the end of the pull
  • poured hot water on door handle to warm up any ice-no change
  • parked car inside to warm up-no change
From what i've read it seems like the Bowden cable has stretched or is out of its socket, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this situation happen to them.
Any advice is appreciated.

I experienced this once in my R53 and the cable was out of place. Good luck, hope it's as simple as that.

I haven't had that happen, but it's pretty easy to take the door apart to have a look. That I've done.
