Drivers side mirror doesn't turn off?

My drivers side mirror never turns off. Even when the visor is closed, even when the engine is turned off. I hate to bring it in for service for such a small thing. Has anyone else experienced this - or know of a way to correct this?

2012 Countryman S btw.

Switch broken or wires frayed? If you are out of warranty I would take it apart yourself as dealer will sting you.
