So my poor Countryman has really fallen on hard times at 75,000 miles. About two weeks ago now I'm driving along here in Vermont and after coming down a pretty steep, long downhill stretch of road the car through up the ABS Light and the DSC light came on on the tach, not over on the speedometer. On the little LED screen I got the red (!) and an orange ABS Light rotating. The Brake light has been on for a bit now because I need to replace the wear sensor. I just replaced front and back brake pads, but forgot to order new sensors. I'm guessing it to would have come on, but can't be sure. The TPS light has not come on at all. I'm running the slightly larger 215 tires, non run flats. When it initially happened the lights shut off and went away for a about 30 miles, then came back, then went away. Over the next few days it became more frequent and now they are just always on. The car drives perfect, brakes respond like new pads and rotors should. Any ideas what my problem could be here? I'm thinking a sensor, especially with how it came out of nowhere and became more and more frequent over the course of a few days and then just always on now.

 

I had a similar issue on my BMW and it was a wheel speed sensor. I don't think your brake sensor would affect your ABS light
