Either or ....

Here locally i have my eyes on 2 Countryman. one is '12 Countryman base. its red with black wheels and 50,573 miles. the 2nd is a '11 Countryman S and its blue with silver wheels which as 54,xxx miles. Both are manual transmissions. I really like the '12 cause of the red paint and black wheels but would also love the S cause of the extra power. the 2012 CM is $14999 and the 2011 CMS is $12999. the 2011 only has 4k more miles but is 5 yrs old at this point. whats your thoughts on mileage and years?

Always get the S, much easier to make faster and MPG is near identical mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

We just had the same conundrum... 2011 Royal Grey CMS in the driveway....

The justa is still a really nice car... and admittedly I strongly favor blue... but the '11 is by far the better deal here. The 4k miles won't make a difference, but if you ever do sell it, the S will. Just get a good aftermarket warranty and drive fast!

I too recommend the S. True Blue is a great color too with the white roof. I'd typically recommend the 2013 or later with the switchgear changes but those are harder to find.

With the sale price of $12999 i should be able to get them lower. Do you think an extended warranty would be worth it? I'm reading mixed thoughts on it.

Test drive them both.

The S is more fun. You'll see.
