If the Countryman/Paceman has the standard Garmin ball, what I did was to take off the ball and cut it with a utility knife in a cross-hatch pattern - where the knife goes in creates little ridges on either side, increasing the friction somewhat. I may still end up putting a dab of superglue in the socket to lock the ball for good.

Good...at least I’m not the only one that’s having this issue...I’m going to try a dab of silicone...then I can peel it off if need be.

Thin pieces of felt tape work great too. That's what I use and have no issue.

Since I have a Garmin Nuvi 2497 I bought form ECS Tuning the installation kit 65902351408 and the bracket mount 65902348476.
I have the srf file with my Mini (Red/Black).
But no luck with finding how to replace the GARMIN startup logo (with MINI logo or some MINI wallpaper maybe)

Any help on this?
