What's this switch do?

Our new 2015 cosmic blue CM is loaded, like totally loaded. Every package, every accessory, everything. Ok, I'm exaggerating a little, but it is pretty loaded. Anyhow, I was a bit surprised to see a switch delete just to the right of the DSC switch below the climate control. I checked the manual and saw that the switch, had it been there, would've had a symbol of a capital A with an arrow around it in a circle. Next to that would've been the word "off." Apparently, when tripped, a light would illuminate. Hmmmph.

The manual doesn't mention what the switch does or did and, for the life of me, I can't find it online. It's perplexing.

So, experts, what's that switch, which apparently I don't have a need for, do?

Figured it out. It's an auto start/stop switch for fuel economy. Not available (despite the 2015 teaser photos which clearly showed a manual transmission AND that switch) in cars without automatic transmission and maybe not even available in the USA at all. That last part I'm not sure about, I lost interest in looking once I figured out what the switch was.

Shoulda come here first before searching the www.

Lesson learned.

Yes, it's the auto start/stop switch for fuel economy. Not sure how it is in US, but here in Portugal, where i live, it's available in cars with manual transmission. My Countryman has that option and it has the six gear manual gearbox.

Regards!!!
