Are these 18's or 19's?
 

Hi folks,

Looking to have a similar wheel setup for my new baby. Any guesses or scale measured opinions of these wheels? From the logo is see they are MHT HRE's. To me they look like 18's. I need to pull the trigger on wheels this week.

Remember the smaller your tire sidewall the lower the comfort ride. (The taller sidewall acts as part of suspension smoothing out your ride.)

I run 17s and my tires are 45s my neighbor (Miss Susan) runs 17s with 55s and her ride is more comfortable in the pot holes and the like. But I generally drive like my hair is on fire. And even with the "ouch! I hope that didn't bend a rim!" Comment from me, I'm happy with the more aggressive ride.

I found the answer. These are MORR VS8.2 wheels. Made in 19" and higher size only.

Looks very close to the similar design of Avant Garde / Alzor / or VMR.

Here is a ink to the Countryman aftermarket wheels , 18" look good . 19" look nice also. When you go bigger you will feel the ride a little more.

I have the all4 S and would love to go with a staggered setup. My wheels would be 245/35/19 in the back and 225/40/19 in the front. The staggered difference diameter would be 8mm (1.2%) smaller in the rear. I heard in general AWD cars are ok with less than 4% difference, but I am no expert. I don't want to ruin the AWD drivetrain over time as I own the car and also don't want to void the warranty. Any advice from you or the group would be appreciated. Of course I will check with my dealer also for their support.

Curious, do you have the sport suspension? I dont, have the 19 jcw/pirelli run flats, and I'm thinking that setup would be too extreme for a daily driver. I've driven an all4 with 17s/45 and it feels pretty well matched, but awful looking. I'm guessing the 19s with all4 make for some fun oversteer situations with less hopping, something im interested in.

So did you go with the 19"? I'm also looking to upgrade my wheels... What are you doing about not having a spare? Any problems with rubbing?
