Talking COUNTRYMAN Boot Badge Applied

Well, as my CM missed the updated badges by about 2 weeks due to build date earlier this year, I thought I would invest in the badge and bring it up to date!

Decided in the end to leave the COOPER part off, take out the red vinyl from the SD part of the badge and this was the end result which I am delighted with.

Not sure about how its been received in the US but in the UK the new badge wasn't received too warmly, and I was one of the haters, but it slowly grew on me, and now totally converted!

Gives it some individuality....

Looks great! I put mine on this morning and went back and forth over the "Cooper" lettering. I finally decided to put it back on and finished up a little while ago. Looks absolutely stock. Nobody would know it's not a 3/13+ build (at least from behind).

looks great! how much did the dealer charge you for the badge? I was going to get it done and my dealer said they were having trouble getting the letters themselves shipped into the US.

Dealer's seem to tell fibs now and then.

To each his own, it's not for me, the badge reminds me of the stickers that say Hello My Name Is.....

It's about $80 total, and the badge comes in two parts: "COUNT" and "RYMAN". My dealer also stated that there were issues with getting them from Germany. This was confirmed by ECS Tuning as well.

Well, I placed the order for the letters with my dealer and they are en route. I'm going to move the "COOPER S" badge up over the letters. Does anyone know how to remove these without chipping or damaging the paint and badge? Would I be able to use it again by just pressing it on or is there a special adhesive that I would have to use? Or 2would I just need to buy a brand new badge for it?

I just want it to look perfect and I don't have the steadiest hand or a balanced eye... I wanted them to put them on for me, but they already said they were going to charge me to put it on and they estimated about 70-90 dollars total for labor alone. That seems a little redonk...

When you remove them, use fishing line to "saw" the letters off, and then Goo Gone to remove the extra adhesive. You COULD respply the lettering, but you'll need to cut small pieces of trim adhesive tspe to put them back on. New badges are $20 at ECS Tuning. In the end, I chose to replace my "Cooper" badge. The new badge should be here shortly.

Actually it's for everyone on NAM as it's posted on NAM . To each his or her own. Great thing about MINIs - make it your own. Just wasn't thrilled with this lettering that wasn't on the car when I ordered it.

I am not a fan of the badge aka tramp stamp at all but you did a good job with it. It does look like mine did when I got her.

I never saw it on mine. Had it removed before I picked her up. I just don't like it on the white. Hard to read. I do think it looks good though on the darker colors. With the stripes now though, I think it would have been too busy on the back. I'm considering removing the Cooper S badge but I like having that on there.

OK, then post in a thread AGAINST the tramp stamp. This thread is by/for those of us who like it.

I received my CM with Countryman badge and was so excited. I researched it on the web during the build process, but the motoring advisor could not confirm that this was part of the build now. Bernadette is white and it doesn't make her boot look big! LOL!

MINI started doing this around Mid-March. It's to give the Countryman a separate identity, similar to the badging on the Paceman. Otherwise, it would be confusing to have many different models running around with "Cooper" on the boot.
