Center Trim Panel (51-16-9-811-185) ~ $32
2x Cup Holder Rubber Inserts (51-16-9-811-184) ~ $8 each

NOT REQUIRED: Shifter Trim Ring (51-16-9-810-002) ~ $17
With or w/o navigation doesn't matter on the ring. The new ring has indenting for the bigger cup holders but if you don't want the new ring, the old will work fine from what I hear. I updated my whole dash so I went with getting the black ring to match.

Confirmed. I have a 2012. I did the upgrade without the new trim ring and it fits perfectly. If you are not going to upgrade all of the interior trim including Mickey etc, then I think it looks better with the silver ring.

I ended up doing the Sewell kit, I picked it up at will call (I live 10 miles away), and installed it last night. It took about 15 minutes.

I used the new cup holders this morning on my way to work, and I love this mod. My old cup holders didn't have the rubber bottom, this new kit (with the rubber bottoms) makes this even sweeter.

I think this could almost be considered a safety factor, especially with a manual transmission. The old cup holders were more difficult to use, especially without taking your eyes off the road, and if you need to make an unexpected shift while you have a drink in your hand, these new cup holders are so much easier to use.

The shifter ring is not required and I left it off when I did mine. However, the new Center Trim Panel has bigger indents for cups that don't match up to the older shifter ring. You can still fit bigger cups, but there is an annoying overlap between the two pieces. Annoying in that I know it's there anyway....

I ended up replacing that part too and now everything lines up.

I know, right?! They're substantially better, and well worth the cost and effort.

I got new veleur floor mats (replacing plastic storm mats), black mickey trim, new cup holders, and non-RF tires all at the same time, and it's like a new car!

Tomorrow on the drive to work will be the real test. Ordered my stripe today and hope to get the windows tinted next week. So excited to get it customized the way I want it.

Only a month later and it's $65 now -- did you snag a Christmas deal or is there a discount code?

i bought both the front and rear "kits" last spring (2014), soon after they first appeared on sewell's website

if you register on the website, there is an extra discount for various online "club" memberships

Thanks for this post guys! Definitely going to get the front cup holders, still debating the rear ones. Guess you lose a little foot well freedom for the center passenger and a rear bench seat? I have rear buckets, just surmising.

I didn't see the part numbers posted for the rears yet and Sewell only shows their offering as a "kit". So altogether, six different MINI part numbers, or is there more to it that I'm not seeing?

51169812558 Cup Holder Angle Bracket (9)
51169812554 Mount For Rear Cup Holder (8)
51169813055 Cup Holder Lower Section (5)
51169812556 Cup Holder Upper Section (7)
51169812557 Cup Holder Insert Rubber (6)
51169811184 Rubber Insert for Cup Holder (10)

I'm registered on their site and the "Online" price is the same as the "N.A. Motoring" price.

Don't forget you still need one #12, and one #13. Even though the kit requires four each, you only need one of each because you will be able to re-use three of them from the old trim. I'm glad I did the rear cup holders. They come in handy a lot.

Thanks for the tip!

07147136006 Fillister Head Self-Tapp Screw w Collar ISA ST4,2X16
07146988451 C-Clip Nut

Of course, after I went to the trouble of looking up all the part numbers, I found THIS:
http://mini.sewellparts.com/oem-cata...60SX-2012.html

Guess I'm gonna buy from ECS Tuning then -- great prices makes both front and back units only $163, even with shipping. Helluva lot cheaper than Sewell at $222.
