Tune countryman S?

I asked my local speed shop about tuning my countryman and he said I'd have to send my CPU off? Any ideas? I'm in NC? I have an aftermarket exhaust and intake installed but was reading that a few people got theirs tuned and got great results! HELP?

Judging by your recent join date, I'm guessing your car was built after Feb. 2012. If so, NM is a no-can-do for your ECU.

Wouldn't hurt to email/call Jerry T at NM and ask. He's a good guy. Tell him Jerry from Savannah sent you.

True! Bought it in October of 2012! Got a intake and exhaust and was reading that a few people got theirs tuned and got great results!

It's funny. I didn't chip my R53 for fear of warranty issues ( like limping to dealer without chance to reflash) but never had a crisis. Never chipped the R58 because of younglings in the back. But the next MINI, an R60? I want the boost...
