Greetings from across the pond. Do you allow Brits to join your club? I came across this forum when my wife and I were looking to order a new CM and we were unsure about the color. The BC color is very rare in the UK and up until yesterday we had never seen one on the road.
We ordered the car about 8 weeks ago having only seen the color 'swatch' at the dealers and some photos.
We took delivery yesterday of 'Rusty'. To say we are pleased with our choice of color(s) is an understatement. Rusty is a CM SD AWD in BC with black roof, bonnet stripes, black headlight reflectors, anthracite wheels. Interior is polar beige.
The car has replaced a Mini One in white which my wife owned for 7 years.
So far we are delighted with the car and will be test driving her over the weekend.
Great forum- thanks for all the advice posted.

Absolutely! Welcome to the BC owners fold and congratulations on your acquisition of Rusty. I wish we could get the SD in the states. Post up some pictures when you get a chance.

I can't quite figure out how to get the column spacing to tab out like it would in a word processing document, and the spreadsheet wouldn't paste in. At any rate, if you have any corrections (such as date, car name (or lack of same)), PM me and I'll fix it as we go. New members: Post up when you get your BC Countryman, and I'll add you in.
Many thanks for the welcome. I did not realize that the SD model is not available in the US. I guess your 'gas' is considerably cheaper than in the UK so we appreciate the diesel engines which are more efficient. Its a great engine with lots or torque. Almost everyone who has seen the car so far loves the color.
Will post a picture soon.
Kind regards
The Chap
Prepping for several road trips this summer ranging from short to long. Heading down to Burnett, Tx in a couple of weeks, then out to the Fort Davis area in July, then MTTS from Austin to St. Louis. Can't wait to hit the open roads! But first I need to give Bully a good polish and wax.
Cheers!
So what have you guys done as far as graphics/stripes?
I am trying to decide if I put anything on the bonnet and boot. With the white top and mirrors that is kinda the typical direction. Was considering a wide outlined center stripe, but living in Texas with our heat I am concerned about them not lasting.
Considered going black with the stripes to match the wheels.
Harleytoo,
I went with simple viper style stripes on the bonnet and boot extended down the bumpers. I decided on a flat/matte black stripe to compliment the side scuttles and anthracite wheels. Jim Reid of 91 Design did mine. I don't expect them to last more than 2 or 3 years. Jim recommended pulling them off after about 3 years otherwise it gets more difficult. I figure I'll refresh them or change them up at that time.
It's been a while since I posted but I added the roof bars and JCW front lip on the wifes CM this morning so here is what it looks like now. The JCW lip makes it look a lot better. Enjoy
Attention Copperites: Cider has been SOLD! The original, first-photographed-in-the-wild, copper Cooper Countryman has been traded in for a BRGII MCS (build date: early November!). She was a good car, and we're sure she'll make some other family very happy. But it just wasn't fair to her, pushing that naturally-aspirated 1.8l engine over the Alps.
Okay, we need some representin' in heaah. Surely somebody's more entertaining than me...all I've done this (hot, dry) summer is add the ECS Tuning jack pads and jack adapter. Oh, and stubby antenna. Whassup, BCOs?

Thanks for the orders, any other mods on you list ?
I adopted her recently, and wasn't sure about the color, considering I've had 7 years in a Pepper-White '08 Clubman. But the color has grown on me!
I've got chrome brake ducts, but not installed them yet. I'm looking at a bit of chrome interior, replacing the steering wheel with leather / maybe JCW. I'd look at getting the leatherette seats replaced with leather. I'm still getting used to what the MPG and performance characteristics are before considering anything like lowering, chipping, etc.
Cheers from Boston,

Looks like I'm late to the party, but I will be picking up my Brilliant Copper Countryman tomorrow! This will be my 4th Mini - the original and best was Solid Gold, so after a white and a gray I will be back to something more unique!
Brilliant Copper with piano black exterior and window tint...pretty sharp!
New member, here! First post. After 360 days driving a Light Coffee justa CM, we sold it and bought a BC S All4. Promptly took it on a 700 mile road trip, and LOVE it!
Hi Everyone,
I am writing this post for a 2nd time as it disappeared the first time. I ended up picking up this 2014 Brilliant Copper Countryman S All4 6 speed with 19,500 miles. I payed 16,000 for it well 15,000 after I traded in my 2006 Accord Coupe. We had an addition to the family and wanted the 4 doors. I have been a Honda guy my whole life and a former Honda Technician. I am excited as to what is ahead for me. I feel I got a decent deal on the car with the low miles. So far so good.
