CMS All4: I'm Wetting My Pants!
Ok...sorry for the potentially misleading title...
Why does my $40k car drip water on the driver seat when I open the door on a rainy day? Water either drips down on to my left leg as I open the door to get out, or it drips down onto thwe otherwise dry seat side bolster which I then sit down in...either way I get wet pants for the next few hours. Though I didn't check, I don't think the Mini accessory store carried any Goretex clothing for CMS drivers. |
Don't worry. a ton of snow falls into the car when its covered. I guess designers don't take that much into account anymore.
|
Happens in the hatchbacks, too. Very annoying.
|
Believe it or not, the hatchback is worst than the Countryman.
|
How do you think MINI owners can tell each other out of our cars in the rain.... Look for the wet spot :-O
|
Yes i think my Hatch was a lot worse than my Countryman.

Back in my day, virtually all cars came standard with these two features:
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8207/8...52501edd06.jpg One was a drip rail than ran above the doors and channeld the water away. The other was that nifty little triangle window that you could open for fresh air. Of course, the iPod interface was for crap and the in-dash navigation was spotty. I'm still not sure if the trade off is worth it. |
