They are WAY brighter then the stock bulbs. The stock bulbs IMO were useless, esp with Xenons over powering them. All they really did was light up a tiny patch directly in front of the car. If you happen to sit low and further back in the seat they are almost non-existant.

I decided to go for straight yellow since we get a lot of snow, fog and rain up here in New England and when I had my Jeep retro fit with HIDs and real bright white fogs the light blowback from the fogs made them basically useless in the snow. When I swapped them out for real yellow I was blown away at how much better the yellow cuts through fog/snow/rain.

Now just waiting for my LED parking lights to come on and I can get rid of the last dingy yellow-ish stock light.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Where did you order them from? What type of bulb?

Outmotoring
Think they are H8 can't remember off hand but they are the "yellow" ones available on their site under the countryman section. They only have two different PIAA fog lights (white and yellow) so if you see those listed, thats then lol.

Pretty easy to install too. Just a awkward angle but really simple once you wedge your hand in there lol.

Yeah their H8's. Ugh, I'm torn, I don't know if I want the XTreme White or the Plasma Ion Yellow. Your's looks awesome and I know the Yellow is more functional in the fog and snow.

Here in SoCal I'm thinking the White might be more practical, but I like the Yellow look. Hmmmm....decisions...

Tough call. I've always liked the look of yellow fogs and over the years have had both and even with the snow/rain/fog up here was still a tough call. Glad I went yellow though. Looks a lot better in person then the pics show off. I like that you really don't see many people running real yellow fog lights. Most of the time I either see dingy yellow-ish halogens or aftermarket white/blue-ish lights and once in a while someone who might have HID fogs. I rarely see functional yellow fogs. Plus always loved how the yellow the pops on a white car.

Here is a pic with just the fogs on (the white light is from a garage spot but a majority of the light is coming from the fogs. They are very bright, though not obnoxious)

Ahhhh! Thank you for the night photo, you helped me make up my mind.

They're just as I would expect from PIAA, nice and bright. I still think the extreme white would look sick, although with the Xenon's the yellow will be a nice contrast.

Ordering Ion Yellow right now...thanks dude!

Today I took over the NAM Countryman Talk section of the board with six of the top ten most recent posts. Amazingly, only a small minority of them were meaningless fluff like this one.

Tires rotated at Discount Tires, can't believe the price of the lifetime rotation package. Front tires started to get a little worn on the outside from cornering at about 3600 miles... Must be all the curve hugging I'm doing

Nice! When I had them install my new Michelins that I got from a person on CL they actually sold me replacement certificates and with those I get free lifetime balancing and rotation. I didn't know you could buy those certs if you didn't buy your tires from them.

|starman| I saw another NAM poster write about Discount Tire's rotate/balance package for lifetime and I could not pass it up, which I purchased for my OEM tires...

Let the other half drive it to work while the Pea is getting its upper motor mount replaced along with wheel work and a new tire. Hopefully he does not hit the same pot hole that did this to his car:

Did I miss a recall? Can you go into more detail?

My CMS4 is a 2012 from this spring.

I found out from a thread here at NAM.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...or-recall.html

My dealer said it doesn't affect all Countryman's so you'll want to give yours a call.

I watched a few of your runs. The all4 looked great in the corners. Makes me wish I had entered. I have some cell video I will post. Not great quality.

It was a blast! You should try it sometime.

I have some GoPro footage, but I won't know how it turned out until I get home.

I had a fairly heavily modified R52 that I would track and AutoX, still getting used to the body roll on my All4.

I'm very interested in seeing the footage, let us know when you post it.

Thanks!
