Nice and well done.

Just talked to someone who helped produce the suspension to that WRC MINI. It was all custom and had custom front knuckles/carriers. Cant tell you who just yet.

We trimmed the hell out of the rear area to get them wheels and tires to fit.

Wheel setup: 17x8.5" et40 with 245/45-17 tires.

FYI on the coilovers, they were about 23 lbs lighter than the OE suspension. I was actually super surprised, I would've been happy with evening out. As far as the weight reduction goal with this car, that helped me get a lot closer sooner than I thought.

Beyond the suspension I want to finish up with the exterior. Change all chrome to matte black, also get the inside of the headlights painted black, possibly with some gold/bronze accents along with the black to match the colors of my company.

I've had a red Sparco EVO seat for about 4 years... I might install that as well, that'll drop about another 20 lbs off the car. Which would put my ALL4 at around 2900 lbs, or 300+ pounds lighter than stock. Nice thing is that it will match the interior panels of my car, so that works out if I do do that. Anyways, here are some pictures. I'll take better ones once the suspension is at 100% of what I want.

Going for a MINI WRC look as far as my aggressive stance goes.

This might sounds crazy, but I'm not a huge fan of the JCW front lip. lol. Maybe I need to see it in person again, it's been a couple years. Where did you get yours?

I want to make a custom one thats a little more simple, similar to the WRC car. Purpose build without too much flash.

ECS. I realize it isnt the greatest look ever, but lowered it helps...and it IS still better than the standard no lip IMO. I think even using the JCW lip to add a small splitter under is a good plan. The WRC car is a racecar. Got to be careful it doesnt look like you went all Home Depot on it being a street car.

I'll have to check it out in person again. I've modified a couple STIs, a couple M3s, a 1969 Mustang and even a Harley in the past and they've always been sharp looking. I always find a pro to make sure what I do to the exterior looks clean, I've always been about custom parts because I'm complicated like that.

Set the height to something more functional. Had to raise the front a little to compensate for the 3" exhaust. I'll need to get the exhaust tightened up in there, then I'll lower the car another .5 to 1 inch again.

Also fixed the extreme camber in the rear, it was set at -3.2 to compensate for the rubbing against the metal frame by the rear door. I had an awesome wheel shop cut it all off and weld it back together. No more rubbing there. I also trimmed the inside fenders, both the metal bracket and plastic. That opened up about 1" of space, which allowed me to set the rear camber at -2 degree with zero rubbing. Probably could go to -1.5, but I like the aggressive look. I also set the front camber to -2.2 degree. With the 25mm RSB the car feels it really balancing it all out.

Anyways, here's the updated pic with the new height and trimming, but before the new alignment. I'll take some better ones once the rain stops.

That suspension is pretty awesome and tough setup, only seen pictures though. That rear MacPherson setup is really cool... I want it.

I'd be happy with the rad, IC and intake manifold setup.

I want that hood.

Holy Crap! Look at those top mounts for the front shocks and why does that engine bay look like it has so much room.

The whole front end is tubular...so lots of room. Its safe, but not "production-car-crumple-zone-safe"

ECU is in the passenger footwell, Rad/IC is moved more forward on the chassis, wire harness is out of the way, no firewall plastic, engine is slightly titled away from the front and so much more...

How are you planning on putting in the sparco seat? I haven't been able to find any solutions to mount some recaros in the car.

Custom rails and brackets? Planted has some brackets but only for R56. Maybe it can be modded?

Front wheel bearing is ROARING. Probably due to the same pothole that prompted wheel change.

Reserved two locally for ~$275 :( , so looks like my weekend plans are set. Hopefully they go smoothly. Relatively young car at 54K.

I believe the R56 brackets will fit the CM chassis.

Well.. It wasn't today, but yesterday. Installed the milltek turbo back exhaust on my Sheldon. Sounds amazing, not "tinny" at all. Really nice and throaty.

Have you changed a hub on a countryman before? Did one last weekend. Didn't go so smooth as one of the bolts holding the hub is a ***** to get off and deal with in general. Pretty amazing once you're done though. Buttery smooth now.

Getting closer. Switching out the 12 blade for the tall 9 blade turbine for the 50mm turbo build. Had some custom parts that arrived for the cold side aluminum IC piping I'll be making.

Vibrant Hi-flow cat also showed up this past Friday.

Thats great, that exhaust is so rare on the Countryman and Milltek just NLA'd both systems for the Countryman.

Yep that's one of the old WRC cars. With the Ohlins one-off suspension.
