R60 Anyone looking for a change of pace? I'd love to trade cars for a day in the Bay!
Anyone looking for a change of pace? I'd love to trade cars for a day in the Bay!
Alright- so this may seem like an odd request, but I figure it can't hurt to ask. To kick things off, I live in Mill Valley just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco...
I've got a lightly modded 2008 Cooper S hardtop, and I love the car. With RMW's tune on it, the thing has an amazing amount of get-up-and-go for such an economical daily driver. But as things go, it's getting a bit older and I'm starting to look at getting into something new- and I'm really attracted to the Countryman S. The trouble is, I'm struggling with whether or not it will be 'enough' for me coming out of the faster, lighter, more agile car.
I've taken a couple test drives with dealers in the area, and while I've really enjoyed the rides I've taken, I just haven't been able to get a real feel for what the Countryman would be like on my day-to-day slog (35 miles one way down to the south Bay). So since I've yet to find a dealer in the area with a Countryman loaner for me to borrow for a day, I figured it couldn't hurt to see if anyone in the area was up for trading for a day.
So, what do you think? Is there anyone in my area who's willing to act as an ambassador for the Countryman side of these forums? I'm thinking I'd really like to get into one, but I just can't pull the trigger without some extended seat time. In exchange for your act of generosity, not only would you get to enjoy whipping around in my hatch (which I can assure you is a worthwhile endeavor), but you'd have my sincere gratitude- and that's something!
