Prodrive Countryman?

I've seen this on a few sites now, but MiniCarParts has the pics...

Talk of a Prodrive Countryman either filling the gap or even being higher up the pole than the on-again/off-again JCW Countryman.

Saw this coming miles away.

I've had nice, small and subtle resin-domed prodrive decals on the sides of mine (below the All4 badges) for a couple of months now. That article implies it's a 50hp chip tune. Something tells me there must be an intake/exhaust to reap those kind of gains from the 1.6, but either way, if it's retrofittable...

SIGN ME UP!!!

At least Prodrive is motivated to bring something to the market, unlike BMW/MINI's promises of a JCW kit...

I guess I've been spoiled by the Mitsu Eclipse, and subsequently the Subaru WRX/STi aftermarket, but this seems like the most unsupported vehicle line I've ever owned (yes, I realize it's newish, but it has been out for more than a year!).

Hope Prodrive delivers!

Cheers,
Tad
