Yay! for you. When you get behind the wheel you will figure out her/his name. I drove mine for about a week--then she told me her name. My husband calls her a nick name. She tolerates it--she likes him because he lets her go a little faster than I do.

Here he/she is!!

I can't get enough of driving this car, it's such a step up from an 11 year old VW jetta :D

Only bad thing, 30 miles in and a small chip in the windshield... poor thing must hate me already for not avoiding a piece of gravel at 80... err I mean 65 mph

It makes routine driving fun.

Got my first 2 windshield chips the first month--nothing since. That reminds me, I need to have those filled.

I admit, after I got home I was on the sofa all fidgety and just went out for a drive around the block, that turned into a 10 mile trip

Is there a 12 step program or something in case the addiction starts impacting my daily routine??

2 chips! Damn that must have hurt. Yeah, fill them in! Mine is so small its not even a chip really, just a little scratch almost. I've had chips before that I haven't looked after and then ended up swearing to high hell as the chip turned into a line from one end to the other.

B-e-a-utiful!!

Yeah, we hit a sand storm on our way home from the dealer. Tiny pits all over the windshield. Paint didn't look too bad though.
Then out of nowhere about a month ago, a rock hit my windshield and chipped it.
Tybee, what do you use to fill it?

Is there room for another surf blue? J I just wanted to hi to all of you; surf blue really is an awesome color choice. We ordered ours 4/18 and picked it up on 6/10 (MINI of Stevens Creek, Santa Clara, CA). With the addition of our second child and my wife’s desire to stay with MINI, the 4 doors of the CM made it the obvious choice. We’ve only had it for a few weeks, but totally love the car. As of now, the only mod is the tint and the sunshade. Special thanks to MiniMouse17 for the sunshade information and overall welcoming attitude to the club. Happy motoring!

Congrats on the car and the awesome color choice. Now, in the flesh, I am estatic with my pick and much prefer it over the pure red that was my first choice. It seems different colors depending on the time of day, sunlight, etc. Just a gorgeous car.

There's always room for another surf blue!!
Just for another mod idea, check out www.gobadges.com. Very cool stuff.

Very nice CMS! I'm kind of wishing I had gotten some stripes now. But I think what I'm going to do is get a vinyl wrap for the a-panels. Gotta bring in the black jack somewhere.

While still not officially an owner, I did take pictures of my All4 at the dealer today. Hopefully the shop that is fixing my trade will finally be finished Monday after a month of waiting and I can pick her up.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

hmmm my mini is a forbidden picture.... interesting.

Looks great. Are you using Plastidip or vinyl tape?

Plastidip. It has been holding up well. Just finished off my first can while working on blacking out the roof racks, so a trip to Home Depot is in order after work tomorrow.

Me and my wife just ordered up a Surf Blue with black roof. These pictures really helped us decide what color we wanted. Surf Blue looks great! Can't wait to take delivery.

Those of you who have blacked out the headlight rings etc, great work. It really compliments the overall look, it should be a factory option. Might have to do the same myself. Pics of our new friend will be up once we pick her up, in September...

Congrats!! Surf Blue is such a different color. You don't see it around much. I love the color and am extremely happy with it.
Happy waiting!

You really don't see it around much. I see a lot of dark grey and dark green Countrymans and we excited to be a bit different. How hard is it to keep clean? I have had black in the past that was a pain, and a currently own a pepper white which is easy. Would you say it's closer to the black or white?

graphics?

I see a few of you have black side/boot graphics. Does anyone have any white graphics? My surf blue has a white roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes so I am thinking of getting white boot stripes and some type of side graphic probably also in white and would love to see any pictures.

Also, where have you guys been getting your graphics? I was thinking of ordering from:
