Meeting Paddy Hopkirk

There was a Mini/MINI session in the SF Bay Area this week where I finally had the chance to meet and talk with Paddy Hopkirk. A thoroughly enjoyable encounter, and I got all my accumulated questions answered. A recent discovery was he tried RFTs on a course for time then let out all the air and repeated the course - 2 seconds slower - interesting.

I think the top one is the British Racing Drivers Club

And the bottom one is representing the Rally Monte Carlo
