Exclamation Radio or Satellite just goes "pop" and blanks out before returning to normal

Has any had any problems in the CM with the radio or satellite radio making a lout "pop" sound as if the sound "blew out" and the screen (non - connected mini) just goes blank for a few seconds before returning? This has happened to my Mini on a couple of occasions where I was listening to the satellite radio while driving and then suddenly the radio makes a loud "pop" sound before going quiet. After that the screen doesn't show anything (no 1,2,3,4...etc stations or other options on that screen) for a few seconds (maybe like 3 - 4 seconds) before returning back to normal? I wasn't sure if this is just due to the reception, but my wife, who also drives the car, has said it's happened also when listening to normal radio stations.

Thoughts?

That has not happened to me, but I have had the radio just play channel 2 as if the radio had never been activated. Started it up the next day and all was well. I will talk to my MA when I go in for my first service in 2013.

This has happened to me but I don't know the reason why... I have no way to reproduce it and don't know how my dealership would deal with it.

This has happened to me, too - three or four times one day, and it hasn't happened since. Scared the crap out of me. The popping sound was so loud I thought something had hit my roof.

Tahoe that is very strange. Gosh, I am not sure how to deal with this? I think I would feel more comfortable knowing that this is a reception issue than a hardware issue. You guys are right. I wasn't sure how to best bring this up with MINI. I mean, it's random and it can't be reproduced. I guess the only thing would be to say that other MINI CM owners are having the same issue. Thoughts? I may just give them a call today and see what they say. I just don't want to drive the CM down there only to find that they can't do anything.
