You've identified the risks of ordering and waiting . Hopefully your GF has the ability to tune you out when you rattle on about the MINI. That's one of the reasons the SO and I have made it through 18 years with my addiction to cars.

 

Looks GREAT! Congrats again. If I ever need to water my lawn I wash my car & it rains. If we experience a draught I wax my car and it rains for at least a week. Get ready for rain, snow, and really crappy weather in about 7 to 10 days because our new CMS's will be here so there's no telling how crappy the weather in TN will get.

 

So if you have the bluetooth AND the mini-connected you still have to buy the ipod cable separately?! Does anyone know?

 

The cable comes with the car when you get Connected. So do floormats!

What does "190 Dispatched from AG" mean?

 

After 7 years, I am replacing my 2002 MCS with a new Countryman All4 S. I am super excited about the new Mini. She has completed production and is waiting on transport. Sometimes though, I do feel terribly guilty about the whole thing. After 7 years, I am pretty attached to my first Mini.

 

I couldn't help it. After spending a few days here I have fallen in love with the black CM's!! Order changed!!

 

I know exactly how you feel. I don't want to give up Lupine, but must.

I just got a VIN, and 'scheduled for production'! Only a week after the order.

 

How is that possible? I ordered mine on 12/20 and I don't have a VIN yet ! Shenanigans !!

 

I'm surprised too. I suspect my dealer substituted my order for one of their orders for stock, or someone cancelled an order with them and they put mine in its place. Nice of them to do that!

 

We also ordered on 12/20 and still no VIN !

 

Hi!! I am not sure what ship I'm on, but the ship my countryman is on is docking at Port Hueneme tomorrow (January 12th)! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! Anyone else on the same ship???

 

I ordered on 12/27 and no VIN or date either

 

I just looked at my order form; on the day I ordered the code was already 112 (scheduled for production). OL showed my order number but with a different color. The next day OL showed my correct color & options.

So I got lucky; my dealer changed an order already in the system for some time.

 

same here, ordered 12/20, askmini now says scheduled for production but no date nor VIN yet. OL still shows on order....

 

I just emailed my MA asking to check in on my Mini status. This is what he said, quite discouraging:
"Looks like your MINI is still on order and is scheduled to go into production later in the month."

I don't think it will make it into my hands in the 8 weeks time frame at this rate, but I guess we'll wait and see.

 

I ordered my CM on 12/17 and I'm trying to be patient!

OL still says it's On Order, but I called 1-866-ASK-MINI this morning and it says it's scheduled for production with no confirmed production date.

I knew what I was getting into ordering right before the holidays, but now I'm ready for things to start rollin!

 

Quick question about getting on a ship: does your VIN have anything to do with when you will get on a ship? the last ship that sailed had a CM close to my VIN (within 30)

Will my CM get booked on the next ship?

I know there are factors like space and destination, but I was wondering what the que was like. I have read herer many people waiting while more then one ship left while their mini sits in port.

I've ordered three MINI's and every one of mine has sat at port for three weeks. I've read and talked to others that have completed production and it's loaded the day it landed at the port. There is a metrix of factors that go into the logistics process which probably includes a bit of luck. Hope your baby gets on board soon.

Bittersweet. Maybe it'll keep my mind off of the sadness...

 

picking up my CMs this Saturday...3 months to get a CM for those who are antsy waiting 1 month. i can't wait and will update my signature once my CMs is safe and sound at home base.
