Countryman S at dealers

Pick up Tuesday. Ordered twice first one april 11th Royal Grey, change of heart on April 14th to Cosmic Blue. Too late went into production. Dealer stepped upto the plate New Country MINI , Hartford CT. They allowed me to place another order and they kept the original. Been reading all the threads i must have one of the last 2011, I also have Nav and Auto. Went for Auto because my wife will also be driving it. We are stepping down from a dodge caravan. I will now have the family car my wife takes my Audi Cab.

First impressions of the countryman when i test drove was it reminded me of my Audi TT. Tight, a little noisey but fun to drive. I have always wanted one of the new MINI's had a couple when i lived in England. My first MINI was an off shoot called a "Riely Elf" normal Mini with a funny boot. 998cc cooper engine though. When the countryman came out I knew this would be my chance, we have two small kids so the size is perfect. Time to drop the Mini Van for a more realistic Mini.

Cosmic Blue, white roof, antracite wheels, auto, nav, adaptive xenons, premium/cold weather package, chrome interior/exterior, beige color line.

Keep in mind that the noisy ride is directly related to the run flat tires, which in my humble opinion are a must have. I enjoy the solid, feel-the-road response of this.

Depends what the MINI is parked on.

Otherwise, it certainly would be a literal step down from any minivan parked at the same ground level. And I'm pretty sure he didn't mean it as a slight, though I can see that interpretation as-written.

Cheers,
Tad

You never ever Step Down from a Dodge...You have to use the Escalator to get into a whole new Class.

I meant it as a step down in size not quality. 7 seater mini van to a 4 seater. No slight intended. I just hope it works as a family car.

Coming from a SUV with loud tires, these are a welcome change. Very quite from what I had.
