Sad, but it's starting already . . .

Well, I guess there always has to be a first casualty - but I wasn't quite ready for "parting out a 2011 Countryman" already. Anyone close to Ruckersville, VA that needs spare parts, here's your chance.

Looks like something fell on it?

kgelner Mar 31, 2011 06:09 PM

Wow, the front and back look fine, just the roof has been somewhat crushed... perhaps it rolled?

Looking at the photos in addition to the smashed windshield it appears the A pillar on the drivers side caved in and there's damage to the hood just aft of the Mini badge. Looks like the rear hatch isn't shut all the way. Could be a sign of a bent frame or maybe it just wasn't closed all the way when the photo was taken. I tend to think it's the former thus would most likely make it a total loss. I tend to agree with kgelner that it either rolled or maybe a large truck may have rolled over onto it. What a shame with only 82 miles on the ODO.

Maybe it fell off or was crushed by a transport truck. Or the mayhem guy from the insurance commercials fell of it.

Now there's a thought. I checked and it's about 2 hours away from me. I'd like to have the dark silver circles from the vents and speedo, but not for that long a drive.

It's obvious that accident wouldn't have happened if it was an ALL4.

'Local pickup only' has to be the dumbest way to sell stuff on eBay. Why limit yourself to sellers within a couple of hours of you, when with some cardboard & a trip to the local shipping outfit, you can broaden your customer base to the whole country?

I have nightmares about my PO Countryman being shipped to me that way. Really big UPS box from Graz.
