2, The manual does not show any lights above the tachometer. However, the car does have an orange strip running across the top of the tach. I assume that is where the lights are that should show whether the alarm system is armed. However, I have never seen any lights flash there.

Yes if you armed the alarm, the strip will flash every few seconds, had it on mine
