Lots of differing opinions on this topic from the Google. Anecdotal comments for people that have used different tire sets front/back or side to side for 100 of thousands of miles with not issues. Other reporting failures or "heard of problems".
Best answer I came across was "Maybe...depends on how the car implements 4 wheel drive".

Apparently Subaru's have true All Wheel Drive...with power going to all 4 nearly all the time (not sure of ratios). They also have a bypass method to divert all power to front 100% of the time for when you have a diff failure.

So, I guess I'll wait to understand this better for the CM implementation. I for one don't plan on doing this "hybrid" setup...but I'd like to know what's possible.

And yeah anthracite rims. I had it in my mind via configurator what I wanted. I went to the dealership and the car on the lot was perfect.
How'd the stripes come out?

I was going to take pictures today but, weather has been bad in Cincinnati. The stripes were installed a little bit uneven, so my dealership ordered new. On top of that, they rolled my windows down while my tint was still drying! Had to take it back to tint shop and have them fixed. It's all good though, just want it taken care of. They turned out really great though, will get pics up soon!

So the stripes were not part of the original order right? We had ours on our order and they were installed before the car got to the dealer. Sorry to hear about your troubles!

CM Royal Grey Stripes

Cars a little dirty and they are redoing the stripes tomorrow, but I took pics today anyways! I think they turned out great on our color. I only got them down the middle for now. And yeah, they were installed by the dealer after I bought the car. The stripes are official from Mini.

Looks great CinMinCountryman.
Glad to see the Countryman is growing in numbers in Cincinnati. My CMS should arrive mid May, I hope. It is almost out of production, yeah!

One thought about going slime only... The last three tire problems I had on cars before the MINI, were all total blowouts where the slime would not have been able to glue together what was left of the tire.

Lots of people are against runflats on here but I like to put in a good word for 'em when I can, because they really do work (I got to do a cone slalom once in a MINI with runflats that had the air totally removed from all four tires) and I have loved having the luxury of waiting to get off the road, even if the tire has gone totally flat.

I can easily change a tire but changing a tire when it's 28 degrees and slush is falling down just plain sucks no matter how good you are at it.

The only downside is somewhat harsher ride and more road noise, neither of which I've even noticed.
