Deposit to Order

What was it?

MA is saying $1k. Not complaining, just curious.

It was $1k to hold my place in line (They took a credit card.) and then applied it when I ordered although they didn't have final pricing when i placed my order so I could have still backed out until they got me final pricing.

Oh, and with my 03' it was only $100. Inflation I guess. ;-)

$500. My MA said whatever amount you like.

The other reason is because we are PhillyMINI members and the dealer knows us. Guess membership perks help, plus we had also put our names in for his and hers cars. I did however withdraw my name from the list since I had lost my job prior to us ordering her car.

My Laramie, WY buddy put the required $1k down to the owner of MINI of Loveland while we were at MINI Takes the States in Colorado. There is even an image of her doing that in my signature link. I can't remember why it was $1,000.00 but I just remember her doing it. My MA requested and/or required me to put down $1k when I ordered my Clubman in December '07 so who knows, it may be just a standard request.
