R60 Aerodynmics?
Aerodynmics?
I took a S All 4 out for a test drive with my wife a few days ago and noticed that at over 50miles/hr there was a hissing sound. It sounded like a turbulence type of sound. I don't think it had anything to do with the windshield, but was wondering if any other Countryman owners have noticed anything? The sound is obtrusive enough to me to avoid buying the vehicle, but wasn't sure if it was an one-off issue with the particular one I drove or not?
Could some Countryman owners please chime in?
Surprisingly, the vehicle had summer tires on it and the dealer let me take it out on our wintery roads. The grip was good, and I did try, on isolated roads, to make it lose grip. It took some effort to get it to do that, which I thought was remarkable.
Have any onwers already put winter tires on their vehicles? If so, can you comment on its grip?
Thanks!

I took a All4 on a test drive last week and did not notice any noises out on the highway. Probably just something with that particular vehicle, but there are not enough on the roads yet to really know if this will be an issue.
I think you might be right. The car I test drove was a All 4 and I took it out on the highway too. The car was well soundproofed but the engine sound was the only thing apparent to me. No hissing noises though...
Sometimes wind noise can be just mal-alligned sunroofs, or even a hood that isn't closing properly. Usually small wind noise is taken care of no problem by the dealer. Doubtful that it is a design flaw.
