Going to the dealer at 4:30pm today to finally pickup my Countryman! Just in time to beat the next snowstorm heading our way.

Awesome news!!!! You'll be smiling from ear to ear when you get in it. Enjoy the ride and be safe. We'll be in touch.
Take pics if it's still light out.

Congrats, Midnight!!! I'd LOVE for you to post pics when you can. We also ordered a cosmic blue with white roof and I'm dying to see it. Though our car was to be delivered to the dealer last Thursday, it didn't arrive until this morning. Now they are saying we cannot pick up until Wed (awaiting cert of origin) and it's doubtful we'll get there until at least Thurs or Fri b/c of the impending Boston blizzard. This car is now a full month late and the anticipation is killing me.

I think there's a conspiracy against Cosmic Blue Countrymen, because mine still doesn't have a build date, even though my dealer said it was supposed to be 1/3.

I hate to add to the conspiracy, but Lenmonster, I'm in the exact same position as you...

I'm on board with your conspiracy theory! And though I don't want to speak for Midnight, I'm guessing he will be too! Every week, there has been something else to stall the build, transport, or delivery of our car and it's been a bit frustrating.

I seldom side with conspiracy theorists, but in this case I will make an exception! The road has been long my friends, but the waiting should make the end that much sweeter.

We are also expecting a ton of snow starting tomorrow afternoon so I'll make every effort to post a lot of pix but it may have to wait a day or two.

Hang in there my Cosmic Blue brethren, your day will come! Now off to the dealer!

By the way, I am aghast that I have created 550 (now 551) posts and I haven't even picked up my car yet!

Well, thanks to your amazing sleuthing and reporting, Midnight, I didn't have to post so many questions--you were always one step ahead of me, trying to figure out where the heck was going on with our cars! Go and enjoy

My wife and I got to test drive a AWD Sport on Saturday and have to say, it is really nice! We have a '10 Cooper S, which is a lot of fun to drive, but that Countryman was even better, IMO! The sales guy told us when we went out on our test drive to take this one corner around from the dealership around 35-40, which we did, and it was like the car was on rails! I was quite impressed!

As soon as we got back in our car to head home, my wife was already building one on the Mini website from her phone! LOL! I am sure we will be picking up one of these in the future!

You should be about 1/2 done with your delivery now.

Great your finally getting it, enjoy that snow coming your way.

Our CM is in the garage all warm, we had 6-10 inches of new snow, but the wife had to load the jeep up with office supplies, so the CM stayed home again today.

Not that I find that bad, just wondering where I want to drive in a bit.

So, pictures when you can and I hope all you Cosmic Blue CM owners get them soon.

Well, now I'm nervous about placing our order for the Cosmic Blue/White. Just got an email from MINIFini saying that they are working on the link system for towing with the Countryman, which got my husband all psyched again. I told him that MINI mods are always quick to come out and that one would top the list, so looks like the MINI is back at the top of the list.

Picked up the car tonight though only had an abbreviated crash course from my MA and a few minutes of driving time due to time constraints. The car is stunning. Lots to learn. The drive home was way too short (couple miles at best). Really thrilled so far. My 8yo son thought that the color changing interior light bits were freaky cool. The Polar Beige color line really sets off that lighting.

In my brief drive home, I quickly came to appreciate the feel of the clutch and the shifter. Paired my BlackBerry Storm2 up and contacts displayed without problem. Unclear if it will stream audio over BT yet. Also hooked up my 80gb iPod without issue and album art displays on Connected screen. Listening to WXPN on HD was also cool. Using the Connected screen to set car parameters far easier than using the stalk and dash display.

Looking forward to seat time over he next few days and will report back more details and pix.

You're Making Me Even More Impatient!

My CM is due to arrive at the dealer on 1/15. I can hardly wait!! I feel like I've been living vicariously through you Midnight Blue since you're about a week ahead of me most production steps! Have fun with your new baby in the snow.

Great to hear about your car. Since my wife has the Pure Red door inserts and rail inserts the best color setting is red. Some of the other colors aren't as bright.
When I order mine I will be getting the Polar Beige.

Will be looking forward to hearing more about your seat time, especially since you got a stick.

Congratulations Midnight. You need more driving opportunity.

You must live pretty close to that dealer.

Yes, Midnight, we're all excited that you have your car. The CM will be my 2nd MINI, and I"m not sure I'll ever have anything else. It doesn't have EVERYTHING I want, but what it does have that others don't makes up for that.

Congrats on a gorgeous car...and now, spend more time out driving!!!

Happy Motoring, Midnight!

You had several delays but I'm sure you will find it was worth waiting for!
