R60 Sitting at the port?
Sitting at the port?
So my Countryman was built on the 9th and sent to the port on the 10th. It's now been sitting there for the last 12 days. Is that normal? Anyone else have their Countryman sitting and waiting?
My car sat at the port for 10 days and it finally got loaded on Nov 19th and it was sitting at Bremerhaven port since 11/10.
I think they trying to group the minis that are going to a particular port. My countryman is on the same boat as my dealers deliveries. My port is NY(or really NJ) PDC.

My car has been sitting at the port too,it was finished on 11/10. My MA said there are a lot of them at the port that have not been assigned to a ship. I asked him to look into it this morning..... I think there is a ship leaving tomorrow....
Has anyone heard for sure that these cars will be delivered to customers when they are available? My MA suspects they will be held at the port and released for the Launch. He is trying to check on it...
I asked about the manager about this on Monday when I was at MINI North Scottsdale.
They had not received any orders to hold the Countryman until the January release date. However, she did say that if it's true, the vehicle will be held at the port.
I would be seriously upset if that were to happen.
Think how much free advertising MINI would get if they had a few Countryman being driven around by enthusiastic MINI owners!

My MA told us that they're not holding ours...they can't keep it at the port for that long because then you start to pay fees after a certain amount of days...besides more cars do come to the port.

Sounds like one of the first to arrive Stateside. Congrats!
I wish I new which boat, then I could track it.
The Cygnus Leader left Southampton yesterday having stopped over following departure from Bremerhaven presumably with your car on board. It should dock in Panama on the 9th December.

My Countryman is at the port awaiting shipping vessel! I am hoping it will hop on to Auriga Leader (NYK-Line vessel) leaving on Thursday April 14, and start its 3 week Journey to Port Hueneme. Fingers crossed!

My CM is sitting in Bremerhaven as well. I know about the WW Toledo due to depart April 23, but it would be even better to catch an earlier ride to Port Hueneme. Is there a source of info for the NYK-Line schedules?
Mine was only there for a few days but others have said theirs sat for more than a month. It seems that it all depends on final destination and available slots on board ship but that there's no reliable way to predict when it will finally be loaded.
NP. I have no idea which one mine will be on... just lots of finger crossing!
I hope my makes it on. Left the factory on the 8th, but was still being transported to the port this morning.
