I finally got my VIN number, but it's not showing up on any of the ship cargo searches. However, the status is "in transit" on the boat. Did anyone else sail at about the same time (7/18 or 7/19), and if so, what's the name of the ship?

A couple in the PW27SG are headed to CA. They all boarded the "Auto Banner," an NYK vessel. But it departed 7/16 so I'm not sure if I helped in answering your question.

Aw, I'm not on the spread sheet! "Gromit" is on the inbound Auto Banner. Dealership in Sacramento. BRG/W, MCS-JCW, production completed on 7/9, order placed 6/26.

I love this site!!! My DS/S MCS is on this Vessel. It took forever to track it down but I am on Auto Banner - Call sign D7HV. and is scheduled to Dock on the 5th. Chad was built on 7/3 and sat at the dock in Southhampton for over 2 weeks and finnaly got on board 7/16. I didnt think the line was NYK. It looks like Auto Banner is owned by Ocean Pan. Buit in 1988. check out the links

I have more info for you guys with Mini's on AUTO BANNER. Looks like its 4 days behind what my MA had told me. Here is another tracking site that only tells arrival and departure from its ports. But its the first one that has shown AUTO BANNER.

I believe my SB/S MCSa left England on 7/18 or 7/19 ... how do I know for sure which ship it is on? Is there a website where I can check via my Production Number (I only have a Prod. #, not a VIN)

I'm in NJ so I believe my MINI will be on a ship bound for New York (first stop).

Boognish, you should have a VIN in the Owner's Lounge by now, if not give 1-866-ASK-MINI a call and give them your production number, they'll give you your VIN. BTW, great choice of color and spec....my SB/S MCSa is waiting for me at the dealer now

Go to Auto Cargo and put in your VIN. You may have just squeezed onto the MANON, if not you'll be on the Liberty.

 

Wow, thanks Chimera! It says my MINI is on the MANON and it left port on July 18th!

Shouldn't be too long now...my dealer is Princeton MINI and it's only an hour or so drive from the NYC port. Wow...to think that the order was submitted on June 30th...that's FAST...when is MANON expected to arrive at New York? Sorry for all the questions...this is exciting.

Not to hi-jack the thread.. but my dealership is Princeton MINI too and I'm picking up my PW/B this Friday! Who's your MA?

 

You guys are lucky, Its been like 14 weeks since I ordered mine. And I am still 5 weeks away from picking it up. ARGGG!!! "Auto Banner" is 4 days latter than my MA told me.

 

I just talked to my MA. He said that they don't receive information about what boat our car is coming over on. He said that most people find out by using the MINI2 website. I've never been to the MINI2 website until now. It looks very similar to NAM. I can't find any information. (I think our MA is nutz!)

 

Mitch, your MA is amazing ill informed, or lazy. The dealers get a report that plainly states the name of the ship with Mini's destined for their dealership.

There was nothing online that was going to tell me that my car is on the Auto banner. I called my MA, and he referred to their report which told us it was on the Auto Banner.

Talk to a different sales rep. They all have access to the reports.

 

So it's 4-5 days since the Auto Banner was supposed to dock, but the Mini site is still saying that I'm "Enroute". 1-866-ASK-MINI says I'm at the port in the UK awaiting a ship!!!!!!!! The dealership says that when the cars come off the boat, they are put in a holding area, then taking one-by-one into the VDC. The first cars off are the last cars to be processed, so I'm wondering if I'm at the back of the lot :(

Does anyone have any further info?

 

once you've used the shipping websites and they've "told you" that the car has been taken off the boat... from my experience you are pretty much at the mercy of your MA...

our DS/W MCSa arrived in NJ/NY on 8/1 and we took delivery on the 10th and that was just going 30 miles from Bayonne (NJ) to Morristown MINI (NJ)...

"spies" up in the Morristown area tell me a bunch of MINIs actually arrived at the dealerships on the 8th.. i suspect "ROXY" was among them..

but most of the tracking tools you've been relying on are gone once your MINI hits US shores... hope that helps!

Oh very good! Who's your MA? I had Debi, but now that she's the sales manager I was switched to Justin. BTW - Debi went to the hospital today as she tripped on the wet staircase on the way up to the 2nd floor and hit her chin.

Everything went well. The final price was a little less than i expected as I had overestimated the tax. None of the options were pushed too hard, so I drove out with just the rubber floor matts (which I wanted) and that was it!!

And of course, as I left the dealership, it was pouring. I got stuck in the middle of Scottsdale Rd in a low point and two pickup trucks hit the puddle at the same time on either side of me. No longer a clean MINI!

Whole process took about 2 hours and the wait was definitely worth it! I took pictures with my new digital camera (bought for the delivery ) but haven't yet figured out how to transfer the images. Have you been tagged by DMC yet? (http://www.dynamicminicollective.com/)
