For those on the Integrity, the cars were unloaded in NYC (North Jersey VPC) this morning at 8:00am for Northeast owners-to-be.

 

See if your Mini Dealership won't let you borrow a Mini for a day. It's worth a try!!!

I'll keep you posted on the Status of my Mini. I just have this bad feeling that it won't be ready today. :impatient When I do finally pick it up, I will have pictures!

Well my gut feeling was right. Car will not be done today. The part that came in was the wrong part. I'm really starting to get upset with this. I was suppose to have the car by last Friday!!!!!! Now they are telling me tomorrow..... I was like, sure it will... I don't even want the car anymore, I'm too dissapointed.

 

Awww..don't say that..you still want it! That is pretty lame, I would be pissed if I was being put through what you are right now. You should get some freebies for sure now!! Lots!!

 

I just got off the phone with my MA and I have an appointment to pick up Perdita at 1 pm this Friday!!!

Basil is scheduled to arrive tomorrow!!! My MA just called and she said it will FOR SURE be there tomorrow!! Whooo hooo...but sadly I cannot pick it up until Saturday. I'm not signing the paperwork for my loan until 4:30 tomorrow and then I have to be at work at 6. Then I literally work from 7am-8pm on Friday...so that's a no go... But Saturday is the big day!! WHOOOO WHOOOO (throwing arms in the air). But I do have a 2 hour break on Friday, where I will drive to the dealership and check him out....I'm sooooo happy.

My MA Rachel at Bill Jacobs Mini in Naperville has to be one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with... For any and all of my future mini purchases she will be the one I go through!

Minimaxx I'm thinking Red is going to be delivered before Sunday...I betcha

I thought I would post a pic of my motorcycle I am selling - a 1974 Norton Commando. One of the last British super bikes. It corners well too, just not as much room as the MINI (close though)

 

I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dealer part was kinda of a pain in the rear (I won't bore you with it) not to mention having some major traffic issues along the way. But if you look in my gallery there are pics ;-) It is everything I hoped it would be!

 

It's sooooo beautiful! I've never seen a Pepper White with a Pepper White top before! Yeahhhh, I think you are the first one on this board to get their MINI! Congratulations!

 

Thanks I have to say that the entire way home I was like, "Is this really mine?" About the only new cars Ive driven the last, oh 20 years or so, have been rentals It was about an 80 mile drive back from the dealer--so Ive already gone from 8 to 88 miles! Im already plotting where to drive next. I can't wait to read and see all of the other MINIs from our group--its only fair after all of us waiting together to see the results!

Well here we go again. Now, the story is that they do not have the part anywhere since there's no part # for this frickin switch. So they need to get it from Germany.... Which means my MA told me it would take another week!!!! ANOTHER WEEK!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Talk about sticking 14 knives in my back and just jamming them around!!! 14 - The # of days that when they told me I could pick it my Mini (Aug 4th) to the day it's presumably going to be ready again... (Aug 17th)
What gives? My fish just died today too, what a bummer day!

 

Wow, that bites--I can understand your 'bummer-ness'. When I picked up mine yesterday there was a problem and it looked like I would not take delivery that evening and I was almost literally seeing red at that point...I was thinking, 'Ive waited YEARS for this and I can actually SEE it and I can't have it? Are you insane? I think they sensed I could go postal and we got the car.

Man, its pouring here....MINI is already dirty, but I suppose its a good problem to have!

 

I'm sorry to hear that you still haven't gotten to pick up your mini SilverBullet14 that just plain SUCKS I'm sure you have got to be feeling completly let down by this point...Someday there will be light at the end of this looonnggg dark tunnel.


The weather here is terrible! We had some huge thunderstorms roll through this afternoon, bad lightning! Made me kind of glad I wasn't picking up my mini today!

 

Hi minigrrl000, no I don't mind your asking; I'm in Baltimore.

I called my MA and changed the pickup time from 1 to 6 pm so as not to disappoint my son (5 1/2) who is very excited about Mommy's new car and so as to simplify the whole 'sell the Saturn wagon' to CarMax' deal, as my husband will be done with work.

I feel as if I should be assembling a 'care package' of car care stuff, but I suppose there will be plenty of time for that after I get her!

 

You know I took my 2002 Olds Alero into Carmax to see how much they were would offer me for it and it was NOTHING! I got 2,000 more selling it privately...hopefully you had better luck

 

It is at the port (integrity) and they said i could pick it up tomorrow but the #$@$$! credit union don't have the financing ready! i will give them until monday then go with a more expensive financing... grrr

 

I heard from my dealer today and they said that Knight Rider (I think that is his name) will be ready tomorrow, although I don't think I can pick him up tomorrow. I will post pics as soon as I have him safe at home. Good luck to all who are still awaiting word. And btw anyone have any feedback about their mini dealer and trade-ins ? I am wondering what my dealer will do for me on my '05 altima but don't want to lose money on it.

 

or should I say there... I'm in Austin and my MINIs at the dealer in San Antonio. They say I can pick it up Saturday . Tomorrow is going to be difficult to say the least.

 

I took my 2002 Oldsmobile Alero which has 84,000 miles on it to Mini to see what I could get for a trade on it. They only wanted to give me auction price on the car which was only 3,000!!! I put an ad for it up on auto trader for 60 bucks (it lists online and in the mag until it sells) and it is being sold to a nice couple tonight and I'm getting 2,500 more for it.
