Why can't I post immediately?

Hey guys, I've been patiently waiting the past couple of days, making posts that don't show up for hours because the mods need to review them. That's okay and all, but when does it stop?

Does it have something to do with the gears? Why am I still in neutral when many others who have my post count are in 1st?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I don't remember if I had to get out of neutral or not. But I remember that it didn't take too long after I signed up. I think they want to make sure you are sincere about Mini before that let you have immediate posting capabilities. It helps keep out the riff raff spammers and whatnot. It's really protecting all of us. Before you know it, you'll be posting to your hearts content.

When new members register, they are placed into a queue, and it takes a while for their posting privileges to kick in. Hope that helps! :)

I hope my post goes soon, I have a pending purchase for a 2005 auto S and I'm starting to have new used car gitters. With all the worst case scenarios of fire and thrashed transmissions.

Welcome.

Looked into it. There is minimal people out there pulling a camper. One couple has a large aluminum camper that is about as big as I have seen behind a MINI. I think they sell them too. Smaller campers can be towed carefully.

Time to do lots more research on towing with a MINI, especially a camper. I realized that smaller is not cheaper, in fact sometime more expensive and for the money I was gonna spend I could stay in a nice hotel more often. There are tons of pros and cons to weigh out. Might wanna start your own thread about this to get more attention.

We pulled our teardrop with our street rod, C5 Corvette and our GMC Terrain. The big question is---what does the teardrop weigh that you intend to pull? What is the towing capacity of a mini ( I have no idea)? What terrain will you be pulling in, hills? flat lands? rolling hills? Will the teardrop have any type of brakes?
All these need to be answered because you need to be able to do two things, PULL/TOW without excessive stress on the drivetrain and perhaps more important--STOP!!!!
So you need data coupled with some calculations. Good luck!
