It's red, it's mine, and it's here!

Thanks to Julie Saxa at Classic Mini and Joe of Little Joe's Custom Car Hauling, my Mini is in my hot little hands. It was delivered to my door on Sunday, shiny, full of gas, and ready to motor. Joe arrived 7 hours earlier than expected which gave me most of the day to play with the car. I understand what it's all about now. This is definitely the most fun car I've ever driven.

Here are a few pictures of delivery day.

Very nice. You may want to change your NAM name to "Redocab".

How much was the haul? Can always use a good car hauling company...

Gorgeous car btw... I see you've barely had it for a day and you've already got cleaning products in there.

Thanks for all the kind words. We love the color combo.

Yelocab came from the truck that the Mini is replacing (a yellow Nissan Crewcab).

Little Joe's Hauling came through C&C Transportation (a broker). Total for the delivery from Ohio to Seattle was $1400. He delivered a Blue convertible to Wenatchee, WA just before he delivered my car.

The cleaning product in the cup holder came with the car, it's for the clear bra on the front of the car.

The auto tranny: I like it. I was a manual man until I got married. The Mrs. isn't a fan of shifting and with Seattle traffic getting worse all the time I'm liking the auto. I have my choice. Don't wanna shift? Don't. Wanna shift? Shift. It does shift faster than your average auto tranny. Manual mode is fun with the paddles on the steering wheel. Auto mode is good too, it will downshift if it senses the right situation, like going down a long hill and putting the brakes on. It will downshift and then you can use the engine braking.

Overall, a big thumbs up for the auto! Once the break-in period is over we'll see how it does in more spirited driving.
