Just joined and just picked up my first Cooper!

Well, I almost bought a new 2023. Really liked the Cooper S auto and stick. Just picked up a 2013 Cooper S convertible manual with 70k. Kind of stumbled on it as the guy was selling his deceased BIL’s 16 Focus ST. When I gave off I wasn’t too interested, he asked me if I’d be interested in a Mini. It was his brother’s car, but he had it in his garage about a mile away. His brother mentioned selling it since he bought this guy’s 1973 Porsche 914 or 714. As soon as I saw it I knew it was a clean car. He kept it garaged and covered. Oil changed every 5k. Rotiform 17” wheels with new Michelin Sport AS tires, M7 cold air intake, lowering springs, Borla exhaust, M7 tuned about 7 years ago. I live about an hour north of M7.
I plan to find some chassis/interior bracing to help with the convertible “cowl” shudder. Fun car and look forward to learning what mods to do and which are a waste. Been into cars and made payments on more than I can say since 1990.
