Meet the newest member of the family!
Hello everyone!
We recently welcomed a new addition to the household - a beautiful 2005 R52 in metallic (dare I say Gator?) blue. We felt we got a great deal on it - we paid $6,500 and it only has 40,500 original miles. All service records as well.
First purchase will be a wind deflector (any suggestions on if I should get a OEM or aftermarket one?) and a convertible top care kit.
See you around motoring!

Hi and welcome to NAM, GatorAlways!
Congrats on your beautiful R52!
Read up on stock problems in the gen 1 area. Also, if it has run flats, ditch them for regular tires, buy a 12 volt air compressor and a radial tire patch kit! The ride will be the best for a drop top, where some degree of comfort is wanted! (also suspension parts will last longer and many rattles will subside!

Welcome to the forum. They say wind deflector are great additions to our MINIs, however, I have not found a reasonably priced option. I am interested to hear what others recommend.
I would think it wouldn't be too hard for one of our talented members with the right shop to manufacture for us,

So that is what the aux cup holder looks like. The R50 I got still had the base of the holder still attached but the rest broke off. Dad's wife said there was a 20oz mocha in the holder when it let go.
I'm still finding the remains of the great mocha catastrophe that need to be cleaned up
